On Friday 5 February 2026, PEER had the privilege of hosting the official opening of the 2026 WorldSkills Australia Regional Championships with an open house event at our Port Road campus in South Australia.
The commencement of the competitions was officiated by Blair Boyer, Minister for Education, Training and Skills, and Cameron Baker, Chair of the South Australian Skills Commission, who were in attendance to show their support for skills excellence and the next generation of trades professionals.
The day brought together apprentices, employers, industry leaders and community partners to celebrate the strength of vocational education and the future of the trades. Our standout electrical and plumbing apprentices competed under live competition conditions for first, second and third place, demonstrating technical excellence, precision and professionalism.
