To provide participants with an overview of general Occupational, Health, Safety and Welfare requirements affecting all people engaged and/or wishing to be engaged in the building and construction industry.
The participants to have an awareness of the causes of accidents, injuries and illnesses on a construction site and the implementation of hazard management systems at all levels of design and delivery of industry products across all sectors.
Students are required to have the following:
- Coloured highlighters
The objectives and outcomes of this unit are:
- Identify WHS legislative requirements.
- Identify construction hazards and control measures
- Identify WHS communication and reporting processes
- Identify WHS incident response procedures
