Our Story

Our Story

PEER VEET is both a Group Training Organisation (GTO) and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).  The PEER VEET Employment Division (GTO) employs Apprentices and Trainees under a Contract of Training.

The PEER VEET Training Division (RTO) provides Off-the-Job Training and Assessment for a range of Qualifications, Approved Courses and Units of Competency that are specified for the group of trade-based and trade related occupations that are continually required in the building, construction and related Contracting industry in South Australia.

PEER VEET is a not-for-profit Organisation dedicated to the education and employment of the highest quality Apprentices and Trainees in the following skilled areas:

The apprentices we recruit are serious and enthusiastic about a long-term career with our organisation.  Our apprentices are also representatives of our organisation and are committed to our back to back partnership with our Host Employers in various trade industries.

Our Mission

To actively manage and build our portfolio of high quality Apprentices, Trainees and students.  Continue the drive towards a high performance organisation, in which every individal accepts responsibility and is rewards for results.

PEER VEET will consistently deliver on our promises to supply our customers iwth a higher than normal industry standard in training and assessment.

PEER VEET staff will support PEER VEET's mission and contribute to the achievement of PEER VEET's goals by:

  • promoting best practice in employing, training and management Apprentices and Trainees;
  • providing high quality, customer focused Apprentice/Trainee placement services, advice and information.

To do this we will work closely with our Host Employers to develop and improve:

  • effective recruitment, employment, training and placement policies, processes and standards;
  • effective communication and information systems for Host Employers, apprentices and PEER staff;
  • the skills, knowledge and professionalism of PEER VEET staff.

Our History

PEER VEET was established in 1986 with a total of 12 apprentices.  Our quality apprentices and commitment to industry has facilitated our huge growth.  We now employ in-excess of 450 apprentices and trainees, making us one of the largest employers within the Construction and Building Industry in South Australia.

Our Location

We are located in the western suburbs of Adelaide at 1042 Port Road, Albert Park, SA.  Our facilities are located on a major bus route and close to the Cheltenham train station.  Our facilities are state-of-the-art with 15 classrooms and two workshops.

Our Board

The members of our Board are the people who are the pulse of the Building and Construction Industries in South Australia.  PEER VEET’s Board has a wealth of experience and knowledge that allows our organisation to stay in-touch with what’s happening in the industries we are training and employing apprentices and trainees for.
